Fuchs RENISO TRITON SE 55 ester refrigeration oil – 5 L can

Fuchs RENISO TRITON SE 55 synthetic refrigeration oil, based on polyolester (POE), ISO VG 55, in a 5 litre metal can. For refrigeration compressors running on HFC (R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A, R507) and on HFO and HFO/HFC blends (R448A, R449A, R513A, R1234ze…).

Fuchs RENISO TRITON SE 55 is a fully synthetic refrigeration oil based on polyolester (POE), viscosity grade ISO VG 55. It is miscible with chlorine-free HFC and FC refrigerants such as R134a, R404A, R507, R407C and R410A, and with the HFO and HFO/HFC blends that replace them. Fuchs recommends it for hermetic, semi-hermetic and open piston compressors, and rates it as especially suitable for very low temperature systems running on R23.

Refrigerants

HFC and FC: R134a, R404A, R507, R407C, R410A, R417A, R422A/D, and R23 for very low temperatures.
HFO and HFO/HFC blends: R1234yf, R1234ze(E), R448A, R449A, R452A, R454C, R455A, R513A… The viscosity is then chosen according to the compressor manufacturer’s recommendation.
Hydrocarbons (R290, R1270, R600a): possible, after consulting Fuchs technical service.

Good to know

The Fuchs selection guide gives viscosity 32 or 55 for piston compressors on R134a, R404A, R410A and R507, and 55 or 68 on R407C. Always use the oil and viscosity specified by the compressor manufacturer.
Like all ester oils, it absorbs moisture from the air: close the can right after use and use up an opened can quickly.
