Fuchs RENISO TRITON SE 170 ester refrigeration oil – 20 L can

Fuchs RENISO TRITON SE 170 is a fully synthetic refrigeration oil based on polyolester (POE), viscosity grade ISO VG 170. It is miscible with chlorine-free HFC and FC refrigerants such as R134a, R404A, R507, R407C, R410A and R32, and with HFO and HFO/HFC blends. Fuchs recommends its RENISO TRITON SE/SEZ range for piston, screw and centrifugal compressors depending on viscosity: its selection guide places viscosity 170 on screw compressors.

Refrigerants

HFC and FC: the Fuchs selection guide gives viscosity 170 for screw compressors on R134a, R404A, R507, R410A, R422A/D and R427A (with 100 or 220 depending on the compressor), and on R32, R407C and R417A (with 220).
HFO and HFO/HFC blends: R1234yf, R1234ze(E), R448A, R449A, R452A, R513A… Fuchs publishes the miscibility and viscosity of SE 170 with R1234yf and R1234ze(E). The viscosity is chosen according to the compressor manufacturer’s recommendation.
Hydrocarbons (R290, R1270): possible, after consulting Fuchs technical service.

Good to know

Use the oil and viscosity specified by the compressor manufacturer, and do not mix different oil types without its approval.
Like all ester oils, it absorbs moisture from the air: close the can right after use and use up an opened can quickly.
