The Danfoss AK-CC55 runs a complete refrigerated display case or cold room: it controls injection through the AKV electronic expansion valve using a pressure transmitter and temperature sensors, and handles the thermostat, defrosts, fans, lights, rail heat and alarms. The three models differ in the number of valves and relays: the Compact for one evaporator (it also accepts a thermostatic expansion valve), the Single Coil for one valve and up to two evaporators, and the Multi Coil to control up to three AKV valves.

Key benefits
- Energy savings: adaptive superheat control (MSS) fills the evaporator better and allows the suction pressure to be raised by several degrees.
- CO2 ready: adaptive liquid control (ALC) goes down to 0 K superheat on transcritical CO2 systems with ejectors.
- Quick commissioning with preset applications; setup and service from a smartphone (AK-CC55 Connect app with the AK-UI55 Bluetooth display) or from a PC with KoolProg.
- Functions: day/night thermostat, natural, electric or hot gas defrost, defrost coordination, fans, rail heat, lights, night blind, door, product sensor, cleaning function for HACCP records.
- Sealed relays for flammable refrigerants such as propane R290 (EN 60335-2-89).

- DIN rail mounting, IP20, ambient temperature 0 to 55 °C.
